Build Your Vision

Visualization is one of the most powerful tools available to human beings in the achievement process. Our neural pathways have developed around our experiences and beliefs. We often have experiences that cause us to adopt beliefs and habits that work against us and these are embedded in the parts of our brain that we don’t have much conscious control over.

We do have a tool we can use to modify our reactions, beliefs and habits. We can modify what’s stored in our brain using visualization. It’s not complicated. The research is very clear. Individuals can increase their skill at a task by simply visualizing themselves doing the task correctly. Visualizing the task creates a mental imprint that will be recalled when conducting the activity.

A great example is a college basketball player that knew all the steps she needed to take to shoot a basketball correctly. This wasn’t helping her to improve quickly enough. Her coach suggested that she instead, shoot baskets until she shot one that “felt” right. Once she did that, she was to stop and visualize herself shooting that shot 20 times. She was to imagine how it felt and looked and not on the technical aspects of the shot. Her improvement was so striking after this simple exercise that she began applying it to all her techniques and eventually ended up playing professional basketball.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Margaret Thatcher, Michael Jordan and Steve Jobs are all examples of individuals that have used visualization to not only improve their performance, but to imprint their minds with the outcomes they wanted to achieve. Once a person has done this, they become a formidable force with a significant advantage over those who do not have a very clear image of themselves as successful.

Our coaches will guide you through the Vision Building process so that we’ll have what we need to build a PAR (Personal Alignment Recording) that ties directly to the achievement of your desired outcomes. This visualization tool will be used daily as you move towards your goals and, as you achieve goals and move forward, will be revised to cover your new goals.

A visualization is an idealized imagining of what one’s experience will look and feel like once they have reached the goals that fulfill the priorities for the life areas that are important to them. Practicing and repeating the visualization embeds an imprint in your neural pathways and leaves a mental representation that drives your behavior and your focus on very specific goals.

During the visualization process, our participants visualize what they will do to achieve their goals and what it will look and feel like when they have reached their desired outcomes. The combination of relaxation and visualization in our PAR recordings simplifies the process and allows for consistency, ease and effectiveness in the visualization process.
